Job summary

Burlington Public Schools – Marshall Simonds Middle School in Burlington, MA is seeking an Assistant Cook for a permanent part-time role (30 hours/week, 6 hours daily). The position reports to the Director of Food Services and the Cafeteria Manager with hours from 7:15am to 1:15pm and immediate start.

Responsibilities include meal prep and service, kitchen cleanup, cash handling as needed, and maintaining sanitation per ServSafe.

Qualifications

• Reliable, flexible and team-oriented attitude.
• ServSafe trained.
• Ability to follow safety standards and lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and serving meals.
• Cleanup and operation of kitchen and equipment.
• Monitor cash receipts and cashier as needed.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards per ServSafe.
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
