MemorialCare in Laguna Hills is seeking an enthusiastic Chef to oversee hospital kitchen operations and support meal preparation for the main cafeteria, doctors dining room, and events. You will plan menus, supervise staff, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Your background includes at least two years as a chef in large-scale settings and culinary school or equivalent training, with ServSafe certification.

Competenze

• Minimum two years’ experience as a Chef in either a restaurant, hospital or school system, preparing large quantities of food.
• Catering experience preferred.
• Culinary school training with certificate or A.A. Degree in Culinary Arts preferred.

Mansioni

• Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines.
• Follows standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards; uses daily production worksheets and waste logs.
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safety and sanitation per standards.
• Maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
• Manages inventory to ensure availability and controls leftovers within guidelines.
• Ensures compliance with health, safety and sanitation regulations and audits.
