Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. is seeking local Class A port drivers for Compton, CA. This full‑time role offers home daily, AM shift with 5am start, and 10+ hour days driving to Long Beach, Moreno Valley, LA and surrounding So‑Cal locations.

Candidates should have at least 6 months rail experience, 6 months manual tractor trailer work, and chassis/container experience. Hazmat is a plus; benefits include 401(k), health/dental/vision, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months rail experience.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Minimum 6 months manual tractor trailer work experience.
• Must have chassis and container experience.
• No major accidents or tickets in last 3 years.
• No return to work program.
• No DUI in last 5 years.
• Hazmat is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Local Class A port driver responsible for rail/port container moves.
• Home daily with AM shift (5am start) Monday–Friday.
• Drop and hook (no touch freight) to minimize loading/unloading.
• Operate within Long Beach, Moreno Valley, LA and So‑Cal locations.
• Earn weekly pay based on a zip‑code to zip‑code flat rate per move.
