Visiting Angels provides compassionate in-home care to seniors and others needing support with daily activities. Caregivers help with mobility, personal care, meals, transport, and light housekeeping, while focusing on safety and well-being.

We offer flexible schedules from 2- to 12-hour shifts, training opportunities, and a family-like team environment. A high school diploma, valid drivers license, current insurance, and good communication are required; prior in-home care is preferred.

Job Description

You will be responsible for an individuals safety and well-being to provide supportive non-clinical care. Schedules may vary from 2 hour shifts and beyond as we do care for some clients 24/7, so scheduling is flexible to either part time, full time, or as available. We are seeking adaptable, compassionate, honest, in-home caregivers to provide the best care possible to seniors as well as others who need in home care.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required, and current, up-to-date insurance
• Must adhere to plans of care for the client
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs
• One year of in-home caregiver experience preferred
• Must have good communication skills, have active listening, between clients/families and staff
• Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility

Skills

• One year of proven experience as an in-home caregiver (Preferred)
• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferredKnowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ethics

Compensation

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
