Lamb Weston Holdings, Inc. invites applications for a Days A Fryer Relief Op at our Richland, WA facility.

This role provides relief for the co-product fryer and the mainline fryer, supporting daily processing operations and ensuring fryer performance meets safety and quality standards. You will monitor equipment, adjust time/temperature, load/unload oil, maintain process data sheets, and assist with startup/shutdown tasks.

Qualifications

  • Able to understand and follow plant safety rules and procedures.
  • Read, understand and obey all plant rules and safety instructions.
  • Knowledge of lock out/tag out procedures and safe equipment operation.
  • Able to balance teamwork and individual responsibilities, work well under pressure.
  • Sanitation qualification and forklift certification or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor waste totes and fryer performance; adjust temperatures/time as needed.
  • Load/unload oil and check oil quality; pump oil between tanks.
  • Maintain process control data sheets and assist with changeovers and cleaning.
  • Follow safety programs and report near misses or safety concerns.

Job Description Summary

This position will provide relief for the co-product fryer and the mainline fryer.

Job Description

Other duties may be assigned. Have a working knowledge of the equipment used for the co-product fryer and mainline fryer. Monitor all the waste totes in processing. Monitor the former. Check revolutions per minute on former head; adjust the wizard gauge to maintain pressure; adjust the auger, if needed. Help with cut changes on the mainline and co-product line. Monitor the fryer. Set time and temperature and always be aware of fluctuations in time and temperature of the fryer and adjust, if needed, to maintain specified levels. Prepare and maintain co-product and mainline process control data sheets. Must be able to load and unload oil trucks and move oil from tank to tank. Check for oil quality/oil levels in the co-product fryer and the mainline fryer. Able to pump oil in and out of the fryers. Check for product quality at inspection tables. Clean and sanitize equipment. Sunday clean-up mainline boil-outs. Willing to train other utility/relief operators. Must know the location of SAPP, Dextrose, DM, and salt. Follow all plant safety policies and procedures. Be actively engaged in safety, participate in safety programs, engage in safety activities, perform risk assessments and demonstrate ownership as well as leadership in personal safety and the safety of other team members. Report all near misses, incidents, and any safety concerns.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications
  • Able to have good work performance. Able to effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.
  • Read, understand, and obey all plant rules and practice safety as outlined in the employee handbook. Be conscientious and consistent in his/her work. Practice proper body mechanics and safe lifting techniques.
  • Be knowledgeable of the potential hazards and safety procedures associated with the task being performed. Actively practice and abide by all Company work, safety, and personal hygiene rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Understand and follow lock out/tag out procedures. Possess a working knowledge of how the equipment works. Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Must be able to balance teamwork and individual responsibilities. Must be able to work well under pressure. Sanitation qualified. Must be forklift qualified. If not, must meet requirements to become forklift certified.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. A reasonable hourly estimate for this role is listed below.
