Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Wisconsin Dells, WI, is seeking PrepCooks and Cooks for Daylene's Supper Club. In this role, you will provide friendly, responsive service to create a beyond-expectation dining experience for all guests and work as part of our leadership team, embodying the Promise to Lead with Love.

Qualifications

• 1 year of progressive culinary experience in a hotel restaurant or related facility.
• State/local food handling certification required; ServSafe is a plus.
• Knowledge of standard kitchen equipment and proper sanitation.
• Ability to communicate in English and work under pressure.

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking PrepCooks and Cooks for Daylene's Supper Club.In this role, you will provide a friendly, responsive service to create a beyond expectation dining experience for all guests. As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. Your professionalism and helpful attitude will set the tone for a positive overall impression of the Kalahari.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the facility recipes, portioning, cooking, timing, serving, and presentation standards.
• Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the culinary preventative maintenance programs.
• Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the kitchen areas, associates and guests.
• Participate as a team and use core values and service expectations listed in the Kalahari Promise daily.

What We’re Looking For

• 1 year of progressive culinary experience in a hotel restaurant/food outlet facility or related field helpful.
• State or Local Law may require a certificate upon completion of state-certified proper food handling certification. ServSafe® certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of equipment to be operated, but not limited to are: Flat grill, Pasta well, Steam table, Browning oven, Cheese chopper/grater, Steam jacket, Ovens, Top Burners, Pizza and Dessert Cooler, Slicer, Broiler, Steamer, and Knives.
• Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English effectively. Bi-lingual skills are preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, work under pressure and meet deadlines with particular attention to detail.
• A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
