Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Pastry Cook to support the Pastry Sous Chef in bakery operations across our resort restaurants, outlets, and banquets. You will help prepare and present baked goods, ensuring quality and timely production while upholding our standards of cleanliness and organization.

You’ll collaborate with the culinary team, create visually appealing desserts, and contribute to memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in F&B or certificate from an accredited culinary institute.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery items according to recipes and standards.

Pastry Cook

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Pastry Cook .In this role, you will assistthe Pastry Sous Chef inthebake shop operations assuring the proper preparation of all baked items for the Resort’s restaurants, food and beverage outlets, and banquet day-to-day pastry production and operations.

Pay Rate - $14 - $15/Hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning,cookingand serving standards.
• Help Pastry Sous Chef with decorative cakes, statuaries and ornaments forspecial events, parties, and banquets.
• Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the culinary preventative maintenance programs.

WhatWe’reLooking For

• An associate’s degree in F&B and/or course certification from an accredited Culinary Institute is helpful.
• State or Local Law mayrequirea certificate upon completion of state-certified proper food handling certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, andsomewhat stressfulenvironment, work underpressureand meet deadlines with particular attention to detail.
