Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Wisconsin Dells, WI seeks a Daylene's Barback to keep the bar area clean, stocked, and ready to deliver exceptional guest service. In this role you’ll work as part of our leadership team, upholding our Lead with Love promise while supporting bartenders and servers to create memorable experiences.

You’ll assist with opening/closing duties, answer guest questions, and help coordinate beverage service with the kitchen.

Qualifications

• State or Local Law may require alcohol awareness/safety certificate.
• At least 1 year front-of-the-house experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership style based on collaboration, respect, and service.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions about food, beverage, restaurant functions and resort services.
• Enter food and beverage orders into the system and coordinate timing with the kitchen.
• Maintain and clean the bar area, glassware, napkins, and surrounding spaces.
• Perform side work and keep assigned station tidy.
• Support fellow associates (bartenders, barbacks, servers) as needed.

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Daylene's Barback. In this role, you will provide the guest with a clean and replenished bar and service area. As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. Your professionalism and helpful attitude will set the tone for a positive overall impression of the Kalahari.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer questions about food, beverage , restaurant functions, services, and resort services and activities.
• Key in food and beverage orders using computer system and coordinate timing of meal/beverage service with the kitchen .
• Maintain bar area; including keeping the bar top/counters and well areas neat and organized, ashtrays emptied and wiped out, dirty cocktail glasses rem oved and washed; any napkins, coasters, straws or discarded garnishes cleaned up.
• Perform side work duties; cleaning assigned station and other responsibilities as assigned based on business needs.
• Be ready and willing to assist fellow associates (bartenders, barbacks, servers, bussers, host/ hostess , and management) as situations rise .

What We’re Looking For

• State or Local Law may require a certificate upon completion of an alcohol awareness/safety class as well as state-certified proper food handling certification
• At least 1 year of front-of-the-house operations is helpful and background in the service industry is a plus
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
