Job summary

The Learning Experience – Ledgewood is seeking a compassionate Daycare Teacher to join our team in Ledgewood, NJ. You will help children develop social, language and cognitive skills through play, routines, and caring guidance.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, competitive pay of $17–$18 per hour, training and advancement opportunities, and a supportive leadership team dedicated to joyful learning experiences for young children.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in daycare, childcare center, preschool, or early childhood education setting preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDА or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming classroom where children feel safe and supported.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play.
• Support children's language, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Supervise daily routines including meals, outdoor play, rest time, and classroom transitions.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Follow all New Jersey licensing regulations and center health and safety standards.
