Job summary

The Learning Experience – Ledgewood is hiring a compassionate and enthusiastic Daycare Teacher to join our growing team. You will help young children learn through play, supporting their social, emotional, language, and cognitive development in a safe, engaging environment.

As a Daycare Teacher, you will plan age-appropriate activities, supervise daily routines, and build strong relationships with families and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and enthusiastic attitude towards children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming classroom where children feel safe and supported.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play.
• Support children's language, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Supervise daily routines including meals, outdoor play, rest time, and classroom transitions.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Follow all New Jersey licensing regulations and center health and safety standards.

Location: The Learning Experience – Ledgewood, NJ

Pay: $17–$18 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Ledgewood is looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Daycare Teacher to join our growing team. If you enjoy working with young children and creating a safe, engaging environment where they can learn, explore, and thrive, we'd love to meet you.

As a Daycare Teacher, you'll help children develop important social, emotional, language, and cognitive skills through hands‑on activities, purposeful play, and meaningful interactions. Every day is an opportunity to make a lasting impact during a child's most important years of development.

What You’ll Do

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
