Job summary

Crouthers Academy in Missouri is seeking a dedicated preschool caregiver to support early childhood learning and development. In this role you will implement age-appropriate activities, supervise nap and snack times, track progress, and maintain a safe, clean classroom while communicating with families.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or GED. (required)
• 1-2 years experience working in a licensed childcare facility. (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Develop a careful and creative program suitable for specific age groups of children
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, or colors, do crafts, etc.)
• Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are always safe.
• Track children’s progress and report to parents
• Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
