Job summary

The School Board of Highlands County is seeking a General Worker to support site operations at Lake Country Elementary. The role involves supervising activities, assisting the Site Manager, and completing reports and roll calls.

The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma, demonstrate reliability, and comply with safety and district policies. Training may be provided, including potential medication administration per requirements.

Qualifications

• All applicants must have honesty, dependability, punctuality, accuracy, and diligence on the job.
• Ability to relate well to students, parents, staff, and public; clear and accurate communication is required.
• Basic clerical typing skills may be needed if duties include clerical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Site Manager whenever necessary and fills in when Manager is absent.
• Plans and supervises indoor/outdoor activities for the children.
• Fills out accident/incident reports.
• Takes roll call.
• Notifies Site Manager when equipment or materials are needed.
• CPR and Red Cross Certification should be kept current.
• When necessary, may receive training to administer medication to children.
• Helps children with homework.
