The School Board of Highlands County is seeking a General Worker for Sun n Lake Elementary. This role supports the Site Manager, plans activities for children, and ensures safety through incident reporting and roll calls. CPR certification is required and medication administration training may be provided.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and pass criminal history and drug screening. Clerical duties may require typing at 40 wpm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Physical requirements permit exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently; bending, kneeling, crouching as needed.
• Satisfactory clearance of a criminal history records check and drug screening.

Responsabilités

• Assists the Site Manager and fills in when the Manager is absent.
• Plans and supervises indoor/outdoor activities for children.
• Fills out accident/incident reports and takes roll call.
• Notifies Site Manager when equipment or materials are needed.
• Maintain CPR and Red Cross Certification; may train to administer medication to children.
• Helps children with homework.
