Deborah’s Little Shepherds Child Care Center in Philadelphia is seeking a dependable, organized Daycare Meal Planner/Cook to prepare nutritious, child-friendly meals and snacks for children enrolled in our program.

The ideal candidate has a passion for healthy nutrition, knowledge of CACFP meal-pattern requirements, food safety and sanitation, and the ability to adapt menus for allergies while coordinating with teachers to serve meals safely and on time.

Qualifications

• CACFP food service experience required.
• Food safety certification or Food Handler certification required.
• Experience planning menus for infants through school-age children.
• Knowledge of special diets and allergies.
• Ability to maintain meal counts, production records, and inventory.

Responsabilités

• Plan and prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals and snacks.
• Follow CACFP meal-pattern requirements and approved menus.
• Prepare meals according to daily schedule.
• Maintain sanitary kitchen and food safety records.
• Check inventory and notify when items need to be ordered.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Work with teachers and staff to serve meals safely and on time.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding children and families.
• Complete meal counts and production records.
