Job summary

Foundations Early Learning Center is hiring a Daycare Cook to prepare meals for children and staff, following USDA/licensing guidelines and ensuring safe, sanitary kitchen practices. You may assist in classrooms during breaks while contributing to a nurturing early learning setting.

Hourly Pay Range: $16-$19 per hour

Pay is determined by the level of education and years of experience.Pay increases with continued education,performanceand years of service.

Cook Responsibilities:

• Prepares and distributes meals/snacks for children and staff according to guidelines and provided menus.
• Followsdailymenu that incorporates USDA,licensingand/or health department regulations.
• Ensuressafe food preparations and proper sanitation methods are used andmaintainsa safe kitchen/pantry area.
• Maintains inventory of food and supplies.
• Must be willing to work in the classroom to cover breaks.
• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for large group food service, preferably in a childcare center, preferred.
• ServSafecertification preferred.
• At least 18-years-oldforcookposition.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year minimum of previousexperience working in licensedchildcarea plus.
• Ability to pass background checks & health assessments.
• Ability tolift upto 30 lbs.
