Job summary

VanEerden Foodservice in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Day Warehouse Associate to safely receive and select quality product for local restaurants, hotels, and arenas. The role offers a typical 7am–5pm schedule with paid Thursdays and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• 1 year of receiving experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a standup PIT and tools and willingness to become certified operating a forklift.
• Ability to lift 40-60 pounds and move on & off equipment regularly.
• Must have manual dexterity and be able to lift 70 lbs safely, reach product as tall as 6 feet and work standing up for 8+ hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Receive and rehandling cases to meet Ti/Hi specifications.
• Stocking and putting away pallets of product.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse
• Put away incoming product while rotating stock according to organizational standards
• Ability to select product for will call and or sales reps during high volume receiving days.
• Demonstrate attention to detail by evaluating produce quality, ensuring the quality of products off loaded onto the dock.
