Job summary

Team VanEerden in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Day Warehouse Associate to safely receive and select quality product for local restaurants, hotels, and arenas. The role offers steady pay and full benefits.

The position features a typical 7am–5pm schedule, five days a week, with opportunities to advance to driver or supervisor roles for high performers.

Qualifications

• Clear and effective communication is required.
• 1 year of receiving experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a standup PIT and forklift.
• Able to lift 70 lbs and work 8+ hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Receive and rehandle cases to meet Ti/Hi specifications.
• Stock pallets of product and maintain a clean, organized warehouse.
• Put away incoming product and rotate stock per standards.
• Select product for will call or sales reps during high volume days.
• Evaluate product quality during unloading to ensure standards.

Pay/Benefits – Paid EVERY THURSDAY

• $19 per hour starting pay based on experience and performance.
• Overtime pay of $28.50 per hour after 40 hours per week!

Job Overview for Day Warehouse Associate:

Receiving/ Operating PIT Responsibilities (80%)

• Receive and rehandling cases to meet Ti/Hi specifications.
• Stocking and putting away pallets of product.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse
• Put away incoming product while rotating stock according to organizational standards

Selection Responsibilities (20%)

• Ability to select product for will call and or sales reps during high volume receiving days.
• Demonstrate attention to detail buy evaluating produce quality, by ensuring the quality of products off loaded onto the dock.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• 1 year of receiving experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a standup PIT and tools and willingness to become certified operating a forklift.
• Ability to lift 40-60 pounds and move on & off equipment regularly.
• Must have manual dexterity and be able to lift 70 lbs safely, reach product as tall as 6 feet and work standing up for 8+ hours per day.
