Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Southwest Agg LLC in Texas is seeking a skilled maintenance welder to perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and repair on plant equipment and structures. What You'll Be Doing
  • Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and repair work on plant equipment and structures.
  • Inspect machinery and components to identify wear, damage, and maintenance needs.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Follow all safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform welding, fabrication, and repair work in an industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques, metal fabrication practices, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and equipment repair capabilities.
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check. Must be able to meet all safety, attendance, and performance expectations of the position.

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.

Physical Demands of the Job

Frequently stand, walk, climb, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, and work in confined or elevated areas while performing maintenance and welding activities. Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds; heavier items may require team lifting or mechanical assistance. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and personal protective equipment while maintaining visual focus, manual dexterity, and situational awareness in an industrial environment.

Starting Pay $27.93 per hour DOE (depending on experience)
