Heidelberg Materials Southwest Agg LLC is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems across night shift operations. You will perform preventive maintenance and support plant uptime by inspecting motors, conveyors, crushers, and control panels.
You will read schematics, install and modify electrical wiring, and follow safety procedures while documenting activities and communicating equipment status.

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and production equipment during night shift operations. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and plant uptime. Inspect motors, conveyors, crushers, control panels, and related electrical components to identify and resolve issues. Install, test, and modify electrical systems, wiring, and controls in support of plant operations and improvement projects. Follow all safety procedures while documenting maintenance activities and communicating equipment status.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment. Knowledge of electrical controls, motor circuits, PLCs, instrumentation, and preventive maintenance practices. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a production environment. Commitment to safety, teamwork, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check. Must be able to meet all safety, attendance, and performance expectations of the position.
Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
Frequently stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work at heights while inspecting and repairing plant equipment. Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds; heavier items may require team lifting or mechanical assistance. Ability to use hand tools, testing equipment, and personal protective equipment while maintaining visual focus, manual dexterity, and awareness around energized systems and moving machinery.
Starting Pay $29.72 per hour DOE (depending on experience) 401(k) retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions.
