Job summary

Royal Switchgear on-site in Bessemer, AL seeks a Day Shift Warehouse Supervisor to lead hourly workers in a manufacturing warehouse. You will supervise, train, and schedule staff, conduct inventories, and ensure safety and efficiency.

You will implement controls, manage stock locations, and coordinate with the Logistics Manager to improve processes while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• 2+ years of propane forklift experience.
• Working knowledge of warehouse operations, policies and procedures.
• Experience with personnel decisions including hiring, performance management and disciplinary actions.

Responsibilities

• Assist Inventory Control & Logistics Manager with hiring and training.
• Schedule and oversee warehouse staff.
• Conduct physical inventory and reconcile with computerized system.
• Prioritize daily work based on production needs.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Replenish stock as needed and ensure proper storage locations.
• Schedule materials for internal and external processes.
• Collaborate to develop strategic warehouse efficiency plans.
• Enforce operating instructions and safety policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
