Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist for a permanent, on-site role in Appleton, WI. You will move materials, verify inbound shipments, and ensure accurate storage and documentation to support manufacturing schedules.

Responsibilities include safe handling of inventory, cycle counts, crane operation as needed, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines. The position offers a daytime schedule, onsite facilities, and benefits typical of a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Transport materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations throughout the facility in a safe and efficient manner.
• Receive incoming products and materials, verify their accuracy, and distribute them to appropriate, secure storage locations.
• Store products in designated areas, maintaining proper organization and security of all inventory.
• Prepare and maintain detailed records of materials received and shipped, including transaction dates, locations, quantities, and other pertinent information.
• Review outgoing and incoming shipments for quality and accuracy, ensuring products meet requirements before distribution.
• Examine accompanying documents for accuracy, such as packing lists, shipping labels, and other related paperwork.
• Confirm shipping details and any special instructions to ensure orders are processed correctly and on time.
• Expedite shipments that impact the manufacturing process schedule, prioritizing critical orders as needed.
• Support inventory management activities, including warehouse inventory tracking and cycle counts.
• Operate overhead cranes and other material-handling equipment as required to move and position inventory safely.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate shipping and receiving activities.
• Manage time efficiently to complete daily tasks and meet shipping and receiving deadlines.
