Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring Warehouse Associates in Whitestown, Indiana for a temporary-to-permanent role. Pay starts at $18.24 per hour with overtime at $27.36 per hour and a 1st shift from 6:30am-4:30pm Sunday-Thursday. Training is provided; PPE and safety gear are provided; fast-paced warehouse environment with RF scanners and pallet jacks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of related warehouse experience required.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Powered industrial truck certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to read and perform basic math in English for safety and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure scanning is accurate; assist training of dock staff; end-of-shift security and housekeeping; perform picking and packing; check for damage.
• Perform tasks per location policies and procedures related to materials handling.
• Perform material moves with associated transactions as required.
• Participate in workgroups and other team activities to improve operations.
• Perform housekeeping for the assigned area.
• Other duties as assigned.
