Job summary

Texas Building Supply, a division of US LBM, is looking for a Truss Assembler I in Taylor, Texas. This role involves assembling truss components and stocking materials. The starting pay is $15.00 per hour for 1st shift, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and prior carpentry experience is preferred. This position is key to maintaining an organized and efficient production workflow while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• Prior carpentry experience preferred.
• Ability to learn to operate equipment such as routers, saws, presses, and staple guns.

Responsibilities

• Lay out truss supplies and materials on carts or floor and stock plates.
• Load and band finished materials on carts and pallets.
• Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials.
• Read shop drawings to identify plate sizes and understand stacking order.
• Monitor production workflow process and assist other areas as needed.
• Operate all equipment necessary to the assembly process.
• Adhere to established safety rules and regulations.
