Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Graduate or student of a formal Surgical Technician program or military education/training.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Hospital Operating Room or ASC.
• Surgical Technician certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Medical Technician Certification from the State of New Hampshire required unless another NH license is held.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and equipment before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, holding retractors, and suctioning.
• Sterilize equipment and instruments, prepare supplies, and transport patients to the operating room as needed.
• Monitor vital signs of patient under surgery as directed by medical staff.
