Job summary

Ascension in Milwaukee seeks a Registered Nurse to lead a surgical unit on the Day Shift, Full-time, at Columbia St Mary's Milwaukee. You will coordinate patient care, assign teams, and delegate tasks in line with the State Nurse Practice Act.

Minimum requirements: Wisconsin RN licensure, BLS within 30 days of hire, and 1 year of OR-related experience. A Bachelor degree and progressive leadership experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess daily patient care needs and develops and distributes patient care assignments of clinical/non-clinical or interdisciplinary teams to ensure population-appropriate care.
• Delegate duties to team members based on assessed skills and abilities in line with the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Participate in hiring for new staff for the shift and provide feedback to leadership on staff performance.
