Job summary

Ascension seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Surgery Recovery team in Milwaukee, WI. This day-shift, .9 FTE role focuses on direct post-operative care in a hospital setting at St. Joseph Hospital.

The ideal candidate will hold a Wisconsin RN license or multi-state license, with ATS/ALS and BLS requirements met within specified timelines. Diploma from an accredited nursing program is required, with opportunities for career development through Ascension programs.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Wisconsin or multi-state/Compact state
• ALS within 6 months of hire date
• BLS within 1 month of hire date
• Pediatric ALS preferred otherwise

Responsibilities

• Provide direct post-op and post-procedure care
• Follow AORN/ASPAN standards
• Monitor patient responses to treatments
• Manage pain
• Anticipate patient and procedure-specific needs
