Job summary

Extra Space Storage is seeking a Store Manager for one or more self-storage locations in New Jersey. The role involves day-to-day operations, ensuring cleanliness, managing customer accounts, and driving unit rentals and moving-supply sales.

A strong emphasis is placed on building relationships with customers and maintaining financial accuracy. The position requires 2+ years in a customer-facing role, leadership experience is preferred, and a High School diploma or GED is required (college

Qualifications

2+ years of customer-facing work experience.
Leadership experience preferred but not required.
Sales experience preferred.
High School diploma or GED is required; college education is a plus.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong customer relationships by identifying storage needs and providing tailored solutions.
Maximize sales objectives through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies.
Ensure cleanliness standards at site and office, including building exteriors and surroundings.
Perform daily site safety inspections, including lock checks.
Handle cash transactions, balance receipts, delinquent payments, and daily deposits.
Oversee admin tasks: auction files, delinquent accounts, budgets, and bank deposits.
Maintain professional relationships with Extra Space employees.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
