Compass Group USA's Flik Independent School Dining is hiring a Sous Chef at University School of Milwaukee. The role supports the Executive Chef, prepares and cooks foods, and coordinates cooks and other food-service staff in a school dining setting.

Schedule is full-time with days that may vary, typically 5:30 am to 2:00 pm. Requires at least 3 years of cooking experience and offers meal benefits and a day-shift focus with possible opportunities for internal referrals.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates, including scheduling, payroll, training, and evaluations as appropriate.
• Stores food following safety procedures and maintains sanitation of equipment and work areas.
• Ensures proper food handling, presentation, and serving temperatures.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
