Job summary

Reid Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders. The role focuses on restoring, improving, or maintaining functional communication and involves education and instruction on devices and techniques.

The SLP will participate in discharge planning and collaborate with families and healthcare teams. The position requires Indiana licensure, CCC from ASHA (or CFY under supervision), and BLS

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from a CAA accredited program.
• CCC awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or in the process of completing the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) under the supervision of a CCC-SLP.
• Must hold licensure to practice as a speech language pathologist in Indiana (or temporary permit per Indiana regulations).
• Basic Life Support certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders to restore, improve, or maintain functioning.
• Documents goals in functional, measurable terms with stated timeframes.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare professionals in planning discharge from rehabilitation services.
• Assists in orientation and training of new employees and students as appropriate.
