Job summary

Sizemore, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer in Columbia, SC to maintain security of the facility by patrolling, monitoring, and enforcing access control while upholding the company’s values of Flexibility, Improvement, Reliability, Safety and Teamwork.

The role pays $16.50/hour on a full-time schedule Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm. A high school diploma or GED is required, and prior security experience is preferred. This position offers growth opportunities within a stability-focused team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school graduate or GED.
• Experience in security, military or law enforcement preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office programs, preferred but not required.
• Commitment to service and professionalism.
• Good communication and demeanor under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
• Document security activity with DAR and incident reports.
• Control vehicle and personnel access per procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations per procedures.
• Operate specialized equipment (CCTV, scales, computer systems).
• Prevent losses by reporting irregularities and enforcing policy.
