AVI Foodsystems is hiring a part-time Prep Cook at Cleveland Heights University Heights City School District in University Heights. This day-shift role follows the school calendar, Monday through Friday with no weekends or holidays.

A free meal is provided while working. Responsibilities include preparing food per daily prep sheets, assembling ingredients, portion control, maintaining inventory and a safe, clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Culinary experience or education preferred.
• Strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Customer service oriented with a team attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specific amount of food according to the daily prep sheets.
• Gather ingredients and prepare them by washing, chopping, slicing, dicing and assembling for customer purchase.
• Comply with portion sizes, quality standards, and recipes.
• Manage food inventory when necessary.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
