Job summary

48forty Solutions, LLC in Chicago, IL is seeking a Saw Shop Operator to set up builders by operating power saws to slot, cut, and trim wood for pallet creation. You will be a vital piece of our pallet manufacturing process and join a team focused on safety and quality.

The role offers hourly pay of $17.05 and a Monday–Friday 5:00 AM–1:00 PM shift. Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and have a High School Diploma or GED; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift wooden pallets up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Lumber/warehouse/construction experience preferred
• Quick hands and attention to detail
• Effective communication and reliability
• Overtime availability as needed

Responsibilities

• Operate power saws to cut & trim wood pallets
• Follow and adhere to safety rules and regulations
• Communicate with plant management regularly
• Ability to work overtime as needed
