Job summary

Aagard is seeking a dedicated saw operator to support production schedules by operating and maintaining saw equipment. You will move materials, record part movement in the ERP system, and monitor equipment to minimize downtime.

The role requires basic math, safety awareness, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will work on-site with a team focused on quality and continuous improvement, using Aagard software and ERP tools daily.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Ability to read and understand the proper use of measuring instruments.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift safely.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Basic shop math skills such as rounding, positive/negative numbers, metric system.
• Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use Aagard specific software.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Must be highly safety conscious.
• Observant with attention to detail.
• Conscientious of meeting and exceeding the internal customer requirements.
• Ability to take action and be proactive.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Passion for excellence.
• Value and build a culture of measurement.
• Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain saw equipment to support production schedules.
• Move and deliver material using forklifts; record part movement in the ERP system.
• Monitor equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Identify and record issues in SharePoint to support corrective action workflows.
• Communicate quality concerns proactively to prevent defects.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
