The Dixon Group is seeking a Saw Operator to join our Houston, TX shop. You will operate automated horizontal band saws, verify dimensions, and feed downstream CNC operations. The role includes crane and forklift duties, material handling, and maintaining production logs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.
• Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts or willingness to train.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and pass a lift assessment.
• Detail‑oriented team player with dedication.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate automated horizontal band saws per work orders and blueprints.
• Load, unload, and transport materials using cranes and forklifts.
• Verify material dimensions with calipers, scales, and keep part counts.
• Log setups and production runs in the DPS system and report shift hours.
• Keep the shop clean and assist secondary operations as needed.
