Job summary

The Dixon Group in Houston, TX is hiring a Saw Operator to operate automated and horizontal band saws, maintain dimensional accuracy, and prepare stock for CNC processing. You’ll use calipers and scales, log production data, and support crane and forklift tasks on a fast-paced shop floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow written work orders.
• Experience or willingness to train on overhead cranes and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate automated horizontal band saws per work orders and blueprints.
• Safely operate cranes and forklifts to move materials and stock on the shop floor.
• Verify raw material dimensions with calipers and scales, ensure accurate counts and traceability.
• Log setups and production runs in DPS system and report shift end hours to track downtime.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and back up secondary operations as needed.
