Wabash General Hospital in Mt Carmel, IL 62863, USA is hiring a Monitored Care Registered Nurse/Relief Supervisor (Day Shift) for on-site supervision of the MCU.

The role provides comprehensive nursing care for adult and geriatric patients, arranges patient flow, and coordinates transfers with the EMR system.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Illinois RN license, and current BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred and must be completed within six months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Illinois RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred and required within six months of employment.
• Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Critical care, monitored care, or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients.
• Perform patient assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor diagnostic results.
• Coordinate patient transfers and bed placement; manage staffing needs.
• Provide leadership to nursing and ancillary staff during shifts and respond to emergencies.
