Job summary

Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, IL is seeking a Monitored Care Registered Nurse for the night shift.

This on-site role supports admissions, post-procedural care, IV therapy, airway management, and patient transfer coordination in a busy hospital unit. Responsibilities include completing nursing assessments across neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, GI and GU systems; ensuring patient/family teaching and accurate EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed and current registration as a Professional Nurse in the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Clinical experience preferred but not required.
• Good working knowledge of the nursing process and strong nursing practice skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessment on admission across neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, GI and GU parameters.
• Care for pre/post procedural/surgical patients (Recovery Room after hours).
• Administer IV therapy, manage airways, drains, tubes and laboratory tests; prepare patients for transfer.
