Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Pre Op/PACU unit at AHN Wexford in Wexford, PA. The role provides leadership in a collaborative team and focuses on assessments, planning, and evaluation of patient care.

The RN will assess patient needs, participate in interdisciplinary teams, and promote patient safety and quality initiatives while ensuring compassionate communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through eNLC.
• PACU RN experience highly preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan nursing care for individuals or families in Pre Op/PACU.
• Provide leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skills.
• Supervise, delegate, and evaluate LPN scope of practice.
• Participate on interdisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical care.
• Promote patient safety initiatives and participate in quality initiatives.
• Utilize the nursing process to implement patient care plans.
• Analyze health status and determine patient care needs.
• Continuously evaluate patient and family satisfaction and communicate compassionately.
