AdventHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time daytime shift in Tampa, Florida. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• RN required and licensed to practice in Florida
• BLS CPR certification required
• Experience in acute care hospital setting preferred
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and care planning
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency with nursing documentation and EHR systems
• Fluency in English (read, write, speak)
• Understanding of infection control and safety standards
• Ability to supervise and delegate care

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, updating as needed
• Administer medications and therapies per orders, monitor for adverse reactions
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment, and self-care
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure clear communication
• Maintain accurate documentation of care activities and outcomes
• Evaluate and adjust care plans to improve patient health
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication
• Supervise and delegate nursing tasks to team members
• Participate in performance improvement activities and code response readiness
