Job summary

Parkland Health in Dallas seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Moody Outpatient Center daytime schedule (Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm). The RN coordinates care using the nursing process, assesses patients, develops individualized plans, and ensures safe transitions with minimal delays.

The role requires Texas RN licensure (or compact), current BLS, and at least two years of nursing experience, with strong communication and teamwork abilities to support patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have two years of nursing experience.
• Must have current RN license or valid Texas Board of Nursing or Compact license.
• Must have current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from one of the recognized organizations.

Responsibilities

• Maintains positive working relationships with Parkland internal and external customers and staff.
• Serves as a resource for patients and healthcare team members.
• Provides patient education and may participate in community outreach activities as assigned.
• Completes appropriate documentation in patient care records.
• Ensures records and documents meet department and Parkland standards.
• Participates in information exchanges with nursing staff and may serve as Charge Nurse on rotation.
• May precept or train newer nursing staff.
