Job summary

Genesis in Spencer, West Virginia, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a day shift, 5:45am–6:15pm, to provide compassionate care to residents in a long-term care setting. You will perform nursing assessments, develop care plans with the team, administer medications, and coordinate with families to support each patient’s well-being.

The role requires an approved nursing degree and current State Board of Nursing licensure, plus CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing and currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing.
• CPR Certification is required

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with the nursing team, other disciplines, patients, and families to develop effective plans of care.
• Establish measurable short- and long-term patient goals with interventions to minimize rehospitalizations.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
• Delegate patient care responsibilities to staff and supervise them to ensure tasks are implemented.
• Communicate patient information across shifts and with assigned staff.
