Job summary
AdventHealth in Apopka, Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our full-time, day-shift team. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the medical team to ensure high-quality, safe care.
The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree in Nursing, is licensed as an RN in Florida, and demonstrates strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license required or in process.
- Associate degree is required; bachelor's preferred.
- BLS certification and hospital-based competencies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments across clinical domains.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans with regular reviews.
- Administer medications/treatments per orders and monitor effects.
- Educate patients and families about conditions and self-care.
- Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.
- Evaluate outcomes and adjust plans to improve health.
- Ensure infection control and safety compliance.
- Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication.
- Supervise and delegate tasks within the care team.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and quality initiatives.
- Respond promptly to code situations and stabilize patients.
