Job summary

Signature HealthCARE in Norfolk seeks a PT RN on days to provide direct nursing care, administer medications, and supervise nursing staff. You’ll support ADLs, monitor resident status, and ensure safe, compassionate care within a team-driven environment.

Candidates should hold an active RN license, with CPR/BLS preferred, and at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in long-term care, plus familiarity with EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (AHA or Red Cross).
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role preferred.
• Strong clinical observation, med administration, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of Federal and State long-term care regulations.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound clinical judgment.
• Familiarity with EHR systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration and wound care.
• Assist residents with ADLs ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety.
• Supervise and direct nursing assistants and medication aides during the shift.
• Monitor residents’ status and notify physicians of changes.
• Develop and review individualized resident care plans with the team.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation per policy.
