Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking a dedicated RN for a night shift in Norfolk, VA. The role covers direct patient care, medication administration, wound care, and supervision of nursing staff in a 169-bed facility.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license in Virginia, has 1+ year of clinical nursing experience (long-term care preferred), and familiarity with EHR systems. CPR/BLS certification is preferred; EHR and Office software proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration and wound care.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety.
• Supervise and direct nursing assistants and medication aides during the shift.
• Monitor residents' status and notify physicians of changes.
• Develop and review individualized resident care plans with the team.
• Document accurately per facility policy and procedure.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
