Job summary

Signature HealthCARE of Norfolk is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our compassionate team in Norfolk, VA. You will provide direct resident care under licensed supervision, help with daily living activities, and support a safe, respectful environment aligned with our person-centered care philosophy.

Responsibilities include ADLs, vital signs, transfers, documenting care, and supporting resident rights.

Qualifications

Must hold a current, active CNA certification in the state where the facility operates.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and with licensed staff.

Responsibilities

Provide direct resident care under supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
Assist with ADLs within the plan of care and state regulations.
Change bed linens and maintain room grooming supplies.
Ambulate and transfer residents using proper devices and body mechanics.
Record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other care data.
Routinely turn and position residents and respect resident rights.
Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas and answer call lights promptly.
Assist in orientation and training of other staff as requested.
Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
