Job summary

Accounting Search in Bluffton, OH, is seeking a hands-on Day Shift Production Supervisor to lead a growing team of up to 15 on a Monday–Friday schedule. The role reports to the General Manager and focuses on safety, quality, and on-time delivery in a dynamic, non-bureaucratic environment.

You will supervise day-to-day production, coach staff, and collaborate with sales and customers. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least two years of production supervision experience.
• Experience overseeing others in manufacturing/distribution environments.
• Experience supervising 10+ people.
• Mechanical aptitude and forklift experience when needed.
• MS Office, including basic Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily production and monitor shop floor projects.
• Train, coach, mentor, and evaluate hourly workforce.
• Ensure shift safety, quality, and delivery goals are met.
• Maintain current inventory and monitor on-site inventory for projects.
• Collaborate with sales on quoting new business.
• Review shift paperwork and production numbers.
• Communicate with customers on project status.
• Enter information into the ERP system.
• Work with quality on final inspection and continuous improvement (5S, scrap reduction, cost savings).
• Drive a forklift as needed to support floor activity.
• Confirm timesheets, vacations, and time off in timekeeping system.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.
