Job summary

The Recruiting Hive in Bluffton, OH is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor for the day shift. You will lead a growing operation, supervising up to 15 team members, with Monday–Friday hours and minimal weekend work.

Reports to the General Manager in a facility backed by recent capital investments. You will schedule daily production, coach the hourly workforce, coordinate with sales on quotes, and partner with quality on final inspections.

Qualifications

• Two years of supervision experience in manufacturing or distribution.
• Experience supervising at least 10 people.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Forklift driving ability as needed.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily production and monitor shop floor projects.
• Train, coach, and evaluate hourly staff.
• Ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery for the shift.
• Maintain on-site inventory for scheduled projects.
• Collaborate with sales on new business quotes.
• Review shift paperwork and production numbers.
• Communicate project status to customers.
• Enter data into the ERP system.
• Coordinate with Quality for final inspections.
• Support continuous improvement and scrap reduction.
• Operate forklift as needed on the floor.
• Verify timesheets and time-off requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
