Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. seeks a Day Shift Production Supervisor in the Bluffton, OH area. You will lead a hands-on team, oversee up to 15 staff, and report to the General Manager in a facility backed by recent capital investments.

The role involves scheduling, training, safety, quality, and collaboration with sales and customers. This is a Monday–Friday position with growth opportunities and a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED with at least two years of production supervision experience.
• Experience overseeing others in a manufacturing and/or distribution environments.
• Experience overseeing at least 10 people at a time.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Willing to drive a forklift on an as needed basis.
• Microsoft Office experience, including BASIC Excel skills.
• Production scheduling experience (preferred).
• Non-union supervision (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily production and monitor shop floor projects.
• Train, coach, mentor, and evaluate hourly workforce.
• Ensure shift safety, quality, and delivery goals are met.
• Maintain inventory on-site for scheduled projects and monitor WIP.
• Work with sales on quoting new business.
• Review and confirm shift paperwork and production numbers.
• Communicate project status with customers.
• Enter information into the company ERP system.
• Collaborate with quality on final inspections.
• Foster continuous improvement and scrap reduction (5S, cost savings).
• Drive forklift as needed to support floor activity.
• Confirm timesheets, vacations, and time off in timekeeping system.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.
