Job summary

Atkore is seeking a 1st Shift Extrusion Machine Operator in Dallas, TX to operate extrusion equipment in a plastics manufacturing environment. You will read production schedules, adjust controls, and record hourly readings to ensure products meet specifications.

The role requires extrusion experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts. You will troubleshoot the strapping machine, package finished pipe, and perform changeovers on pipes.

Qualifications

• Extrusion experience in a plastics manufacturing environment is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.
• Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow the production schedule.
• Adjust controls to meet measurements and diameters; record hourly readings.
• Reject products not meeting specifications.
• Package finished pipe into proper crates.
• Troubleshoot the strapping machine.
• Be familiar with product and material composition.
• Perform changeovers and start-ups on pipes.
