Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Completion of certified phlebotomy program preferred.
• CPR certification required; phlebotomy externship or 1 year experience preferred.
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy procedures accurately and within established turn-around times.
• Transports and processes specimens and maintains documentation for medical necessity.
• Interacts courteously with patients and staff and adheres to HIPAA/privacy rules.
• Supports infection control and safety policies and maintains instrument readiness.
